Why are people afraid to admit that radical Islam is dangerous rather than dumping on every belief system under the sun?

It is scary, and it's a very bad idea. I wonder why radical Islam is being singled out - it's not the only religious movement in the world that is dangerous. I have no idea what the statistics are pertaining to religious affiliation of those responsible for violence in prisons in the US - or heck, even violence in the US as a whole - but it couldn't possibly be only radical Islam, could it?
